On a weekday evening, I walked over from Yeouinaru Station to Kirin Ichiban Premium Beer Bar, one of the best spots for beer in Yeouido. Sipping Kirin draft beer with the Han River in front of me felt like being on a trip abroad. The prices are on the higher side, so it’s better for soaking in the autumn atmosphere along the river than for drinking a lot.
This is a review of a visit I paid for myself.
A little background first: Yeouido is an island in the middle of the Han River, best known as Seoul’s financial and broadcasting district. The riverside parks here are where locals go to picnic, get food delivered, and cook instant noodles in self-service machines (a ritual called “Hangang ramyeon”). This bar sits right inside that park scene, in the same building as the Seoul Cruise terminal. When I say “Naver visitors” below, I mean reviewers on Naver, Korea’s dominant search portal and map service, whose place pages are where most locals check reviews and menus.
The Short Version

Getting There and Waiting Time
It’s about a 6-minute walk from Exit 2 of Yeouinaru Station (Line 5, the purple line). In front of the Seoul Cruise terminal building there is a red sloped walkway. Follow it up and you’ll arrive right at KIRIN ICHIBAN.
According to Naver visitors, most people got in right away without a reservation. You order at a kiosk, and the beer is poured right in front of you as soon as you order.
Seating and Atmosphere
Most of the seating is outdoors, with a standing area where you drink at tall tables and a section with regular seats. I sat on the 2nd floor and looked out at the Han River.
It felt like I was traveling overseas. The view and the mood were so good that I thought if I lived in Yeouido, I wouldn’t need to travel abroad at all. The atmosphere shifts once more as the sun goes down and it starts to get dark, so on an autumn evening I’d recommend arriving around sunset and staying a while.
Menu and Prices at Kirin Ichiban, a Top Beer Spot in Yeouido
Beer is 8,000 won. Signs at the entrance separate the beer side from the food side, and outside food is not allowed. The snack prices below are based on the Naver Place menu as of October 2026.
- Whole squid karaage (Japanese-style fried squid): 19,900 won
- Curry bratwurst: 11,900 won
- Pepperoni cheese fries: 11,900 won
- Nashville-style whole fried mozzarella (2 pieces): 9,900 won
- “Mayak” corn (2 pieces): 7,000 won. The name literally means “narcotic corn,” Korean slang for food so good it’s addictive.
Kirin Ichiban Draft Beer
The bar’s description says it serves Kirin draft beer in five different pouring styles. This is the main draw, and you can watch the staff pour your beer right in front of you.
The beer is poured with plenty of foam.
Then the staff adjust the position of the glass and skim off the foam.
I was also impressed that they rinse the glass clean in ice water before handing it over. For the beer filled almost entirely with foam, the staff explain that you should drink it before the foam collapses.
The foam-heavy beer tasted soft and a little milky. Faced with a glass brimming with foam, I couldn’t help drinking it right away.
Snacks
The snacks are mostly french fries and other fried items.
Hangang Ramyeon and the Night View on the 1st Floor
After a beer on the 2nd floor, you can head down to the 1st floor and have Hangang ramyeon right away. The noodle cooker works by picking a menu button and pressing start, and a sign tells you to add your egg when one minute is left.
I had Jin Ramyeon with a can of Asahi Super Dry Nama Jokki. You can see the Han River night view from the area near the convenience store on the 1st floor, too.
What Visitors Pick Out
Naver visitors mention the Han River view most often, and they also frequently say the outdoor space is great and that there are special items on the menu. Some say it’s a good place to drink alone or to talk, and some visitors come here for dates. On the other hand, there are also comments that it’s expensive.

My Honest Take
What I liked
- The river view and atmosphere were so good that it felt like I was traveling abroad.
- The mood changes after sunset, so I could enjoy the feel of autumn and the Han River at night together.
- I enjoyed watching the pouring, the foam skimming, and the glass rinsing, and the foam-heavy beer was smooth.
What I didn’t
- The prices make it a burden to drink several glasses. For me, this was beer for the atmosphere rather than the price. It suits soaking in the feel of autumn and the Han River more than drinking a lot.
